Women’s Yoga & Meditation Retreat 2nd-5th Oct 2025

Black Mountain Retreat

A four-day retreat in the heart of the beautiful Black Mountains.

You will be led through yoga, movement and breathwork practises which focus on connecting to your body and the natural world. Enjoy the change of season with open air fires, guided walks and cosy nights in.

The retreat will be taking place in a beautifully renovated barn nestled amongst the Black Mountains. The house is in easy reach of beautiful nature walks and wild swimming spots, while indoors there are lots of cosy spots to curl up with a book, nod off by a crackling woodburner, and even a hot tub to soak in.

You'll be fed delicious vegetarian meals plus snacks and refreshments prepared by our wonderful chef Lulie Anderson.

The Llanthony Valley and Sugar Loaf mountain are jewels of the Black Mountains and between the two lies Forest Coalpit a magical valley with Fforest Barn at the end of the lane.

With the beautiful wild Bryn Awr hill behind you, and a lush green forest in front, you’ll enjoy total privacy while enjoying breathtaking views across the valley. Explore the Black Mountains in the afternoon, then rejuvenate with an evening yoga class and delicious vegetarian meal.

Each room has its own distinct character with shared access to the steam shower and bathrooms. There are double, twin and dorm rooms available to suit different budgets.

This retreat will be from Thursday 9th May 4pm until Sunday 12th May at Midday, to allow plenty of time for yoga, walking, adventures in the countryside, getting cozy in a hammock with your favourite book, fires and perhaps soaking in the hut tub under the stars.

"Liz has created a calm space which welcomes everyone. There is no pressure to do anything, but rest and restore with a lovely balance of yoga practice, nourishing food within a supportive group. You may not know anyone when you arrive, but you’ll be in a gentle community of others seeking a couple of days to switch off and recharge. Your mind, body and soul will thank you. " Clara

At the retreat Liz will teach a combination of Hatha Yoga and Mindfulness meditation in the mornings combined with therapeutic practices of Restorative & Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra in the afternoons and evenings.

We will draw on the feminine aspects of yoga and how these may support us in our daily lives. Liz’s teaching is very much focused on practising from the inside out, allowing for you to connect with your own inner wisdom and develop increased body awareness and a deep listening to your body’s needs. A chance to come home to yourself and reconnect.
